Appleton Rum Tour and Black River Safari Tour from Falmouth

Meet your guide in the main lobby of your Falmouth hotel and get ready for an amazing day to the south coast. Driving through the mountains is a sight to behold as your driver make our way through the small farming villages that appears one after the other. Your guide will tell you about the areas you pass through and teach you about the rich Jamaican history. The drive to the south coast is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

On your first stop, explore the Appleton Rum Estate. Sugar and rum are the two main produce. However, because it is a rum tour, you will be taken to the bar for orientation and a few cups of the most refreshing rum punch the island has to offer, guaranteed. After a video lesson of how the cane juice is extracted, fermented, aged, blended and bottled - you will go on a guided 45-minute tour of the estate.

Our next stop will be at the Riverside Dock on the Black River where you will have local lunch, meet your boat captain and board your pontoon boat. Cruise on the Black River for an hour and take in the beautiful wildlife (crocodiles, eagles, egrets nesting, giant fern and more.).

When you return to the dock, you'll be transported back to your Falmouth hotel.
