Overview

This tour will take you to the unique and wonderfully old-fashioned part of Jamaica to visit three of the south coast's most popular attractions in one day. Our tour starts with pickup from your hotel and a 1 3/4 hour drive to take a cool dip in the clear waters of YS Falls. Next is the River Safari, which is famous for its unique combination of ecology, history, and entertainment.

We will also cruise along the wide-open river through three species of mangrove while learning about the ecology of the area from your knowledgeable river guide. The area boasts a variety of over 100 species of wildlife. Take the Black River Safari Tour, and you can get up close and personal with nature at its best. After our river cruise, it's a short drive over to Floyd’s Pelican Bar for a swim and a drink.

What To Expect

YS Falls

Hop aboard a tractor-pulled jitney that takes you to YS Falls — a series of seven waterfalls that cascade into natural pools. You can cool off in the natural waterfall pools and a 4-foot (1.2-meter) deep wading pool that is surrounded by a patio and garden. Other activities include a canopy zipline tour and tubing rides on the river. Lifeguards are on duty. The Estate has a restaurant where you can purchase lunch, in addition to changing rooms, environmentally-friendly restrooms.

Black River

The Black River is one of Jamaica’s best known natural habitat and the country’s largest navigable river. The River Safari is famously noted for the unique combination of ecology, history and entertainment. This tour offers a guided cruise along the river to see crocodiles and other wildlife in their natural habitat of mangrove forests. Swimming in the river is optional, if you dare!

Floyd's Pelican Bar

A floating bar off the coast of rural southern Jamaica. Floyd's is regularly touted as one of the best bars in the world, certainly one of the most unique. With a quick boat ride you'll be off to the bar to relax with a cold drink, have a swim or enjoy a fresh seafood dish.
